The Borough 19 sprint will be returning to Lydden Hill this weekend 15th July 2017 in memory of Ray Heal, ASEMC speed championship co-ordinator of around 20 years, who passed away in 2016 at the age of 90. Ray was a true gentleman and terrific sportsman with a passion for motorsport who first competed in autocross before sprinting with a mallock club-mans car.
This weekend’s event organised and co-ordinated by four ASEMC clubs within the South East; Borough 19, Maidstone & Mid Kent, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks Motor Club will see club members and aspiring champions alike take to the circuit in classes depending on their vehicle type and engine size to complete for the best lap time around the tight and twisty Lydden circuit.
Circuit owner, Pat Doran, will be joining the entry list with this black German hill climb competition winning RS200, well known for placing 11th for its accent up the Pikes Peak international hill climb in 2013 as well as unofficially achieving 4th best time at Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this month.
